ChatGPT helped me pass my GED tests! 20 years after HS For some background, I completed 4 years of HS but dropped out a few months early after my parents split. It was a very dumb decision that has bothered me for 20 years. I signed up for the GED.com program and after reading some Reddit posts on the tests, decided I should go with Math first as it was my weakest subject. I barely made it to level 1 algebra before I dropped out. I started with this chunk of text I found on another post: "You will provide me mentorship that is personally catered for my continuous learning development. We will focus on GED subjects. Start by mentally developing a guide from beginner concepts to advanced concepts. Briefly explain what each section we will be learning is and then begin with section one, progressing through the plan as I fully grasp each concept. Proceed. " This gave me a lot of basics, some of which I already knew, so I used the GED website's tutorials to ask GPT the same questions and to explain each step. One HUGE help was factorials and binomial coefficients. I asked GPT for an easy method and it provided a short, not super explanative answer. I then asked very specifically how it came to that conclusion and it provided me a much shorter way to do this on the fly (I've attached the screenshot). There were about 8 questions on that specific subject alone and I'm confident I wouldn't have passed if it weren't for the GPT sessions.
