My family comes from a small Asian country that had a turbulent history; Laos. I was always fascinated about nation building, history, politics, I majored in Political Science in college. I wanted to be an academic on basically my family’s country, the civil war, etc., but I realized that shit didn’t pay the bills. I can ask ChatGPT anything about Laos and the history. I often find academic papers to read on Laos, it’s like a hobby of mine. I’ll send it to ChatGPT and we’ll have convos about it. It’ll research more info for me, translate things. It’s become just a buddy in a hobby of learning about myself, my family’s history, Laos and Lao people. It’s fun.
