This is Gemini but cooking. I enjoy making new (to me) recipes, but it always stresses me out because the directions are never precise enough for me and I'm worried I'm messing it up. Recently made macarons for the first time and any time I had a niggling doubt I talked to Gemini about it and ole Gem would talk me through it. An example is it was taking longer than I expected for the shells to rest before baking. They wouldn't lose their gloss and stayed sticky. Gemini told me about an oven method. I tried it, they were no longer sticky but running my finger over them would indent them slightly. Back to Gemini and it says I'm almost there, just a little longer in the warm oven. The cookies were perfect, and had I been on my own with the recipe I definitely would have tried baking them too soon and they wouldn't have turned out.
