Same! ChatGPT has helped me break down several "brick walls" that I was stuck on for years, because I didn't know how to find records outside of the Ancestry.com database (and sometimes Familysearch). It pointed me in the direction of a website I'd never heard of. Typed in a surname and boom, found a bunch of my relatives with exact birthdates and birthplaces! It's also super helpful for explaining historical context - e.g. why a family might have moved from point A to point B, based on whatever was going on politically etc. during the time period.
