AI hasn’t helped me with emotional stuff but it’s been incredibly useful from a practical point of view. It’s saved me lots of money. I’ve set mine up so that it only gives short, straightforward answers along with an indication as to how certain it is that the information is correct. I’ve also set it up so that it’s not overly enthusiastic or inclined to agree with me. It also provides links so I can fact check if need be. Yes it can make mistakes but I’ve never had an issue. Having ai means I now give all sorts of things a go. I replaced a faulty multi point lock in a pair of double glazed patio doors this week. I’m quite good at DIY but I don’t think I’d have attempted that without ai. It’s brilliant for plumbing issues and car repairs too. I think some people think that doing a trade is AI proof but I can’t be the only one who is now tackling far more around my house than before.
