When fatigue or visual strain made it impossible to stare at a screen to edit grammar and pacing, I used voice dictation with ChatGPT to review chapters, restructure dialogue, and maintain thematic consistency. It didn't write the story for me—the ideas, characters, and lived disability experiences were mine—but it removed the physical barrier between my mind and the page. Because of it, my book is finished and published.
