Sabine Hossenfelder posted that GPT 5.6 just solved one of my maths problems that GPT 5.5 insisted for 6 months is unsolvable. Overnight at least 3 different mathematicians ran a 1988 conjecture through ChatGPT 5.6 and found a counter-example. For nearly 40 years this has been an open problem. A few simple prompts and ChatGPT 5.6 has now solved it overnight.
